How to use it

  1. 01

    Paste your script

Type or paste it below. Lines stay as you write them, and blank lines become pauses between paragraphs.

  2. 02

    Set your pace

Speed is in words per minute. Around 130 to 160 WPM is a natural speaking pace, and it stays true at any text size.

  3. 03

    Start prompting

Press Start prompting, then tap the text or press Space to play. Full screen keeps everything else out of the way.

  4. 04

    Look at the lens

Put the eyeline near the top of the screen, close to your camera, so your eyes stay on the lens as you read.

Tips for a clean take

  • Keep the column narrow

A narrower text width means less side-to-side eye movement on camera. Try 60 to 70 percent.

  • Use the reading line highlight

It fades the lines around the one you're reading, so your eyes always know where to land.

  • Mirror for glass

Using a beam-splitter teleprompter? Flip the text horizontally in settings, or press M.

  • Mark your pauses

Leave a blank line where you want to breathe. It gives you a natural beat between thoughts.
